Omniversal Cosmic Thought!

In writing Omniversal, a ‘cosmic’ thought occurred to me. Light from stars travels through space for thousands of years before their photons hit our eyes. But what happens to the photons that don’t hit our eyes – don’t those just keep traveling through space? What happens if they never hit anything? And if the cosmos is infinite (and expanding), doesn’t that mean that photons from all stars, from all times, are endlessly traveling through the universe? In fact, doesn’t that mean that the universe itself is a complete cosmic recording of all electromagnetic radiation of all time?
